Services to American Companies
AICC's membership is drawn from American corporations, emerging businesses,
professional service providers, business organizations, and individuals. Each
membership group derives unique value from their association with the Chamber.
Large corporations gain access to Israel's unique technologies that can enhance
their "top" and "bottom" lines, with the assurance that the Israeli companies
have been screened by AICC's committees and are "ready" for business. Many
corporations have found a ready market in Israel for their products or
services. For example, Atlanta-based BellSouth's joint venture subsidiary,
Cellcom, is now Israel's top ranked wireless company. The Chamber assists with
regulatory issues, introduction to potential partners and distributors,
certificates of origin to take advantage of the US-Israel Free Trade Agreement,
and help with reliable professionals and trade associations in Israel. AICC can
help with access to grants for joint venture R&D projects and M&A activities.
Emerging companies can also incorporate Israeli technologies into their
offerings as well as find opportunities to form marketing and sales
partnerships, joint technology development, and other modes of cooperation.
Small businesses appreciate the opportunity to interact with AICC's corporate
members and Israeli companies in the area. Smyrna, Georgia-based Cell Dynamics
recently formed a relationship with Israel-based Proneuron Biotechnologies to
provide a cell processing facility for patients of Shepherd Center enrolled in
clinical trials for Proneuron's revolutionary treatment for spinal cord injury.
Service providers use the AICC network to develop business with other members,
gain greater exposure to potential clients from Israel, and learn the nuances
of doing business with Israelis including Cultural Differences. Law firms,
accounting firms, financial institutions, real estate firms, consultants, and
more provide valuable resources for Israeli companies that are establishing
operations in the Southeast or who may be good business matches for their
corporate clients.
Individual members (including students) find fulfillment in contributing to the
success of the Chamber, enhancing their knowledge of Israel, meeting Israelis
and others who share their interests, and gaining satisfaction from supporting
efforts to promote growth of the economies in Israel and the Southeast. AICC's
network is also a strong source of leads for meaningful career opportunities.
Opportunities to Get Involved
Members have a variety of option to become involved - through committee
meetings, networking and educational events, industry-specific business
exchanges, and direct contact with Israeli companies. During the course of the
year, AICC offers a variety of programs such as the annual Professional
Seminar, Eagle Star Gala, visits to Israeli company headquarters, economic
briefings, monthly newsletter, and business missions to Israel. The committees
are the "heart" of the Chamber.
