Dear Israeli Entrepreneur,
The American-Israel
Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Region (AICCSE) has been working closely
with Israeli companies for several years, helping them connect with
potential partners, customers, and investors in the Southeast U.S. More
than simply making a connection between Israeli and American companies,
AICCSE strives to bridge cultural gaps so that cooperation and
partnerships have a better chance of succeeding. Please consider the
following:
· Israeli
technologies tend to be sophisticated and
advanced. · Americans
with whom AICCSE has contact are typically more attentive when presented
with concise information that describes
a problem and its solution, rather than a
technical
overview. ·
Israeli companies often consider the sophistication of their technology to
be the only driving force of interest
from potential American partners and customers, giving less attention
to important aspects of
Marketing.

Imagine walking into an elevator where you find yourself standing near
a potential investor who knows nothing of your company, industry, or
product. You have about 30 seconds to attract his/her attention to a point
where he/she will agree to spend more time with you evaluating an
investment in your company. Given the constraints, you have to focus on
identifying a well-understood problem and describing your
unique solution - one, which is worth investing in.
Remember - the investor cares little about the technical aspect of your
product - just how to make money off it. Therefore, you must use easily
understood terms and exclude technical jargon. Follow these guidelines
when providing the non-technical description below. Then proceed to write
a technical description of your product - one, which would be evaluated by
IT professionals. Note: if you are seeking investment, provide information
you think is important to investors - how will they make money if they
invest in your company? |
