AICC to Celebrate 20 Years’ Accomplishments June 12th Eagle Star Awards Gala

Israeli Technology Business Leader, Jonathan Medved, will Keynote

The American-Israel Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Region (AICC), will celebrate its 20th anniversary at the 11th annual Eagle Star Awards Gala on June 12, 2012. It will be held at the Westin Perimeter Atlanta North Hotel, 7 Concourse Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30328 from 7 – 9:00 p.m.

The Eagle Star Gala is AICC’s community flagship event, honoring the people and companies who have contributed most to the Southeast-Israel business  relationship.  The event will honor the Israeli Company of the Year and Deal of the Year, and three companies will compete for each award with the winners to be selected by an expert panel of judges.  The Chamber will also recognize Asheville, NC attorney Robert Deutsch with the Chamber Founders Award and the Israel Economic Office to the US Southern Region with the Community Partner Award.

Jonathan Medved, one of Israel’s most celebrated entrepreneurs and high tech venture capitalists who was prominently featured in the bestselling Start Up Nation, will be the keynote speaker. The New York Times named him one of the top 10 most influential Americans who have impacted Israel.  “It is a testament to the prestige of the Eagle Star Awards Gala that we have attracted a speaker of Jon Medved’s caliber, a major leader in the country’s business community,” said event chairman Barry Sobel (Deutsche Bank Alex.Brown).
