Israeli Social Media Analytics Technology Showcased

AICC scored another win with the most recent program in its acclaimed Israel Innovation Impact (I3) series that focused on Social Media: Making Business Sense through Analytics”, a demonstration and discussion of the latest Israeli technologies on December 7, 2011 at the UPS world headquarters in Atlanta.  Over 100 participants enjoyed the demonstrations and “Ignite” presentations by three leading Israeli companies—ActivePath, Pursway, and Verint.

Attendees also learned why leading marketing firms and industry leaders are incorporating these innovations for their customers to deal with the massive demand for data related to measuring the impact and effectiveness of social media through analytics and ROI.  A
panel of experts from four of Atlanta’s major corporations, moderated by Benn Konsynski, Professor at the Emory University Goizueta Business School, discussed the latest trends from the enterprise perspective.  Panelists were Adam Naide, Executive Director of Social Medial Marketing at Cox Communications; Martin O’Conner, Senior Vice President Analytics at Equifax; Del Ross, Vice President US Sales & Marketing at Intercontinental Hotels Group; and Joe Guerrisi, Vice President Marketing at UPS. “This was a wonderful venue for bringing together varying perspectives from three great Israeli software companies in the social space  as well as established Atlanta-based Fortune 500 companies who are social media innovators.  The marketing and technology leaders from those organizations clearly articulated the power of changing social from a passive channel to an active one as well as the benefits of combining content creators with context providers,” said David Srochi, an executive with Atlanta-based Slalom Consulting, one of the event’s sponsors.

“The Israelis presented amazing solutions that were enthusiastically welcomed by the panel of corporate experts and audience of marketing professionals alike,” said AICC Board Chairman Lorin Coles (Alliancesphere).

The Chamber thanks other sponsors Fish & Richardson, Verint, TheSocialTrain, Israel Economic Office to US Southern Region, and rDialogue.  Organizational co-sponsors were AMA and American Israel Educational Institute.
