"We first met AICC in 1999 when considering the location of our new US office. In order to have some overlap in day time zones with our office in Israel, we decided to locate on the East Coast to connect most easily and cost effectively to the rest of the United States. Atlanta became an option that we weighed against the usual alternatives such as Boston, New York and DC where we were well connected due to our past US-Israel activities.

The favorable impression made by the Chamber and its potential to help develop our networks there played a key role in our decision in favor of Atlanta, which offers the additional advantages of lower operational costs, good weather, and quality of living that attracts management for start-up companies, and an undersupply of VC funding for a still largely undiscovered high-tech region. We were specifically encouraged by AICC’s track record in facilitating an already significant number of Israeli companies to establish their US operations in Atlanta.

The close relationship cemented with the Chamber has given us a first hand opportunity to learn why many regard the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce-Southeast Region to be the most dynamic organization of its kind in the US. Our first investment in Atlanta - ClickFox Inc. - came to our attention through the networks that we established through the AICC. A business exchange arranged by the AICC also played a significant role in our recent decision to invest in an Israeli company, CableMatrix.

We would highly recommend to any Israeli company considering an office in the US to meet with AICC and other Israeli companies with offices in Atlanta, before deciding on a US location. This would be time and money most well spent."
